Job description

In order to support the rapid growth ahead of our business, we are looking to add a Head of Operations to our team in London. The new team member will be instrumental in scaling Nextail’s operations as we continue to build the next generation retail inventory optimization software, backed by $12M in funding to date from leading venture capital investors.

The new team member will be instrumental in scaling Nextail’s operations, as we build one of the fastest growing enterprise software companies in Europe.

The Head of Operations UK will be part of the Operations and Support areas under the supervision of the COO. The role requires a love for technology coupled with a deeply analytical mind, to deliver a premium service level to our clients:

  • Lead the operations efforts in UK to ensure customer focused delivery of services to the clients.

  • Work with clients to ensure the optimal use of Nextail products, that would deliver maximum value to their business.  

  • Manage and work on integrations, configure client environments, follow up and resolve incidents.

  • Train and onboard new joiners to the team to become savvy experts and promoters of Nextail’s values.

  • Shift priorities and work under pressure while maintaining the highest operational standards.

  • Work with both technical and non-technical teams to continuously improve our operations.

  • Become a key ambassador of Nextail, as you lead client interactions and site visits - so be prepared to travel around the UK&Ireland as well as to HQ in sunny Madrid

  • 7+ years experience in fashion retail operations, service/ operations of another start-up or consulting. 

  • An engineering or business degree and exposure to technology issues.

  • Understanding of retail supply chain planning and associated IT systems.

  • Experience in managing support functions and /or teams.  

  • Exposure to working with clients, as well as working in project mode.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills in order to understand and isolate the issue at hand before tackling it. You love learning and solving ever-increasingly complex issues.

  • Familiarity with ETL, ERP, SQL, AWS and other related concepts.

  • Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • A doer, with a work hard/play hard mentality.

  • Fluent in English, some Spanish is a plus. English is the company language, but within the team we speak altogether some 16 languages (counting both those of humans and computers).
