Job description

We’re looking to add a Partnerships Manager to our Growth team. The new team member will be instrumental in scaling Nextail’s partnerships initiatives and channel sales, as we continue to make the retail world a better, more sustainable place.

At Nextail, we empower retailers to create better experiences while using fewer of the world's resources. Our cloud-based platform uses artificial intelligence, prescriptive analytics, and optimization models to deliver agile merchandising decisions. To date, we’re backed by more than $12M in funding from leading venture capital investors and are working with global retailers like Versace, River Island, and Pepe Jeans.

The Partnerships Manager will be part of the Growth team, working closely with multiple teams within Nextail (Marketing, Sales, Product, etc.). The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Additionally, this role requires an action-oriented candidate that has the ability to take leadership and proactivity, while handling shifting priorities.

You will be:

  • Actively manage and grow a portfolio of partners in the retail industry (retail experts, agents and consulting firms) and define and execute strategies to foster the partnership contribution to the growth of the company.

  • Own the relationship with partners on a day-to-day basis, being their first point of contact, working on engagement initiatives and handling escalations internally and externally to maximize the value created through the partner ecosystem.

  • Contribute in identifying and increasing engagement and synergies among nextail teams (marketing, sales development and partnerships) to generate new business opportunities, while defining action plans and account prioritization with partners.

  • Be a Nextail Ambassador in meetings, expos and industry events to constantly build relationships with important networks to expand the partnership ecosystem.

  • 5+ years of previous experience plus proven success in Business Development or Channel Sales (consultancy background or prior tech partnerships experience would be a plus)

  • You are bilingual or fluent in English (other languages would be a plus)

  • You have strong communication skills, empathetic and a team player, that enable you to interact with people from different backgrounds and influence others internally and externally .

  • You are action-oriented and have the ability to learn quickly, work under pressure and take initiative, while working on multiple ongoing projects.

  • Strong business acumen, critical thinking and ability to form actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Comfortable and capable with both developing strategies and being hands on to execute on them.
