Product Owner (technical)

Job description

In order to support the exponential growth ahead of us we are looking to add an Integrations Product Owner to our headquarters in Madrid. The new team member will be instrumental in scaling Nextail’s operations as we build the next generation retail inventory optimization software, backed by the number one VC fund in Spain according to Dealroom.

 

The Integrations Product Owner will be part of the Operations and Product areas under the supervision of the Chief of Staff to the COO. The role requires a love for technology coupled with a deeply analytical mind, to deliver a top-notch service level to our clients:

  • Lead integrations with clients, managing clients requests and expectations and following up and resolving questions.

  • Define and drive our product vision and roadmap, as we improve and coordinate our existing functionalities and develop new revolutionary ones.
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Work with both technical and non-technical teams to continuously improve our operations.

  • Shift priorities and work under pressure while maintaining the highest operational standards.

  • Create and promote our product culture both internally and externally.

  • Become a key ambassador of Nextail, as you lead client interactions.

While most of our operations are run from our headquarters in sunny Madrid, we also have teams located in the main markets where we operate, currently UK, Spain, Italy, Russia and soon the US.

Requirements

You bring

  • You are a graduate in engineering or business and have been exposed to technology issues. Prior experience at a consulting firm and familiarity with fashion retail are a plus, as is experience in the service/operations area of another startup.

  • You are passionate about technology and have experience building software solutions.
  • You have an interiorized agile mindset and you know about Lean product development, Kanban or Scrum.
  • Forward-looking mindset to envisage future customer needs and ground these ideas into solutions.
  • You have strong problem solving and analytical skills. 

  • You are familiar with Workflows, ETLs, ERPs, SQL, cloud technologies (aws, azure, google) and other related concepts.

  • Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • You are a doer, with a work hard/play hard mentality.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish. English is the company language, but within the team we speak altogether some 16 languages (counting both those of humans and computers).
