Project Manager

Job description

In order to support the rapid growth ahead of our business, we are looking to add a Project Manager to our team in Madrid. The new team member will be instrumental in scaling Nextail’s operations as we continue to build the next generation retail inventory optimization software, backed by $12M in venture capital funding to date from leading venture capital investors.

The Project Manager will be part of the Operations team, working on strategic projects.

In particular, the role entails:

  • Working closely with the Business to identify Improvement initiatives and convert them into actionable projects, with a defined scope, impact and timelines.

  • Work with both technical and non-technical teams to identify areas for improvement, design solutions and coordinate delivery in order to bring continuous improvement of our operations.

  • Monitor and measure project performance, including analysis of impact upon successful completion.

  • Coordinating the project portfolio to ensure timely and continuous delivery.

  • Coordinating internal resources and third party providers to ensure a seamless delivery of project.

  • Managing intra-project dependencies and scope to ensure delivery, careful use of resources and fully operable, impactful solutions.

  • Development of all support documentation required (project plan, process maps, tool descriptions, specifications, etc)

  • Shift priorities and work under pressure while maintaining the highest operational standards.

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management.

  • Previous exposure to change management/ business improvement.  Prior experience as project manager in a corporate or start-up or as an associate in a consulting firm is a plus.

  • An understanding of change management, scalability challenges, business improvement.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills in order to understand and isolate the issue at hand before resolving or escalating them.

  • A keen learner with a passion for solving ever-increasingly complex issues.

  • Advanced MS Excel and  Power Point user.

  • Strong communication skills that enable you to interact effectively with people from different cultural and professional backgrounds in both, oral and written forms

  • Thriving under pressure, self-organized and able to juggle multiple priorities at the same time.

  • Fluent in English, Spanish is a plus.
